SEMINAR INVITATION FOR EL-STEM EUROPEAN PROJECT

The European University, in collaboration with the Open University of Cyprus and Palouriotissa Gymnasium, cordially invite you to the upcoming  Seminar titled:  

Augmented Reality and Interdisciplinarity in STEM Education

The Seminar is organized by the Erasmus+ Project EL-STEM: Enlivened Laboratories within STEM Education. The topics that will be presented at the seminar target both primary and secondary school educators. In addition, the seminar can be attended by academics, researchers, students and more generally, anyone interested in the seminar theme.

EL-STEM aims at enlivening school laboratories using innovative technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), in order to enhance the interest and improve the performance of 12 -18 years old students, in STEM-related fields of study. The project has developed, and will pilot test and implement an in-service teacher professional development program that will provide an innovative Methodological Framework. Open source AR/MR Learning Resources will be presented, that will equip teachers with a wealth of practical experiences and methods of interdisciplinary, inquiry-based STEM education.

The invitation for the event, and an outline of the program can be found below. The seminar includes presentations on the project activities, a round-table discussion, and hands-on workshops with the open source tools.
